Ivis Elena Garcia Scholarship. Ivis Elena Garcia lived a life short in years but long in accomplishments and attributes. She touched many lives. From the time at age five when she gave her Kindergarten Graduating Class speech to her enrollment at Florida International University with a Bright Futures scholarship, Ivis was an honors student excelling in her studies and flourishing in her love of music.In honor of their beautiful daughter and sister, the Garcia Family established the Ivis Elena Garcia Scholarship Fund, an endowed charitable fund providing support to needy students with an interest in music. The Garcia Family plans to support the Our Lady of Lourdes Academy scholarship program and other charitable efforts, paying tribute to Ivis' life and continuing her legacy of giving.  Randy Green Memorial Scholarship The legacy of Randy Green is still alive in his students. His teaching career was cut far too short, but he brought out the very best in his students. The Randy Green Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to carry on Randy's dream of making this world a better place by teaching students how to make the most out of life. This fund provides scholarships to graduating seniors at Miami Springs Senior High School who are enrolled in a college program related to public education, political science, history or social work and who have already demonstrated a passion to pursue careers that perpetuate Randy's vision long into the future.Eligible Miami Springs Senior High School students should contact school CAP Advisors for details on application and guidelines.
 Clyde W. Judson Jr. Memorial Scholarship Established to celebrate the life and memory of Clyde W. Judson, Jr., this scholarship provides support for African-American students pursuing a degree in architecture. A native Miamian, Clyde began his architecturee firm in 1989. Distinguishing himself in the profession, his design legacy includes the African-American Research Library, the expansion of the Historic Lyric Theater, the Lou Rawls Performing Arts Center and the African Heritage Music Conservatory. In addition to contributing to South Florida's architectural landscape, he served as the Senior Pastor of Good News Little River Baptist Church. APPLICATION DEADLINE - WEDNESDAY 4/28/10
 Joe McNulty Memorial Scholarship Joe McNulty's family and friends set up this scholarship fund at Dade Community Foundation in honor of this 'legendary' figure in the history of Miami Coral Park Senior High School. A forty-year veteran of the Miami-Dade County Public School system, Joe served as the school's assistant principal in charge of discipline for more than a quarter of a century.
